The conference Opportunities For the Polish Plastics Industry took place on 22 May 2014 in Warsaw.
The main focus of the conference were issues related to the plastics converting and plastics recycling in Poland. During the conference it was confirmed that the plastics production in Poland is growing steadily.  The event was an opportunity to discuss further development and challanges of the Polish plastics industry.

The key speakers of the conference included: representative from the Polish Ministry of Economy, Tadeusz Nowicki - President PUPC and Alexandre Dangis - Managing Director - EuPC

The revised Circular Economy Package will be released by the end of this year. Karmenu Vella Commissioner for Environment & Maritime Affairs, confirmed during the Plastics Recyclers Europe’s Annual Meeting which took place on 18th & 19th June in Brussels, that the Commission will mainly focus in the new proposal on waste management, higher recycling targets, product design and innovation & research which would stay in line with the goals of the circular economy.
