With the ambitious targets of the WEEE (Waste Electric and Elecronic Equipment) and the ELV (End-of-Life Vehicles) directives, there is a great potential for the development of Plastics recycling. However, the treatment of this type of waste demands great expertise. Problems such as heavy metal contents will arise.

The Technical Plastics Working group develops contacts at EU level in order to examine and facilitate the development of this booming market (collection & statistics, production & technologies, qualities & applications).

It will also create contacts with other sectors involved in technical equipment recycling, production or marketing.
